In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Door.”
Hampi, in Karnataka, India, was the last capital of Vijayanagar Empire, one of the greatest Hindu kingdoms in India’s history. Hampi is like a open museum with some extremely captivating ruins scattered everywhere, and the ruins date back to the 14th century. I am sharing a photograph, which shows the ruins of the stone doors, which were a part of the Royal Enclosure, a fortified area that was the core of the Vijayanagar Empire. The Royal Enclosure was a place where the royal family used to live.
